Published twice a year by the Tanzanet-online Organization
Tanzanet Journal (ISSN:1650-108X) is an official publication of TANZANET - The Tanzanian Electronic Networking Community, www.tanzanet.org It contains refereed papers and abstracts describing results of research that elucidate all things Tanzanian. It is published every six months, one volume per year, two issues per year (June and December).
INSTRUCTIONS TO CONTRIBUTORS
Submission of papers will be held to imply it contains original contibution or academic nature or policy recommendation to help the welfare or wellbeing of Tanzanians. The Tanzanet Journal will have a limited section for publication of Ph.D dissertation abstracts and Masters degree thesis abstracts which address issues of importance to the Tanzanian Society. The Editor, Associate editors, Coodinator, Technical Editors, and the Tanzanet Journal will not accept responsibility for damages or loss of papers submited.
Upon acceptance of an article, author(s) will be asked to transfer copyright of the article to the publisher. The authour will be asked to send the final electronics version to journal@tanzanet.org
(1) Papers should be written in English
(2) In the interest of speedy Publication, papers should be sent in triplicate to:

(3) Manuscripts should be type-written, and all pages should be numbered consecutively. Titles and subtitles should be short. References, figures, and figure captions should be typed on separate pages. The tables and figures must be sufficiently descriptive such that they are understandable without refering to
the text.
(4) The first page of the manuscript should contain the following information:
(a) The title; (b) Name and surname(s) of the author(s); (c) An abstract not exceeding 100 words; (d) The affiliation(s) of the author(s); (e) Correspondence author's name, address, and e-mail address.
(5) Acknowledgements and information on grants received can be given at the end before references cited section.
(6) Footnotes should be kept to a minimum and numbered consecutively throught the text.
(7) The References should include only most relevant papers. In The the text, references to publications should appear as follow: "Mirambo (1998) found out that........" or This similar problem has been addressed by [e.g. Kimweri (1995), Mkwawa (1997)]." The authors should make sure that there is a
strict "one-to-one correspondence" between the names (years) in the text and those on the reference list.
For Monographs: For instance:
Nyerere, J.K (1977), "Freedom and Choice," Vol. 1. Political Science
(Tanganyika-Publishing Company) pg 45-128.
For Periodicals.
Kinjekitile, P.K (1996), "How to become economically and politically independent." Journal of New Market economy 12 (1): 24-37.
(8) Note that the Journal titles should not be abbreviated.
(9) Paper should follow the following structure:
(a) Abstract (about 100 words)
(b) Introduction (Reasonable background information)
(c) Methodology (Carefully articulate materials and methodology used)
(d) Results and Discussion
(e) Conclusion or ( Policy recomendation).
(f) References.
(10) Manuscripts longer than 15 pages are rarely accepted for publication.
(11) In accordance with
current copyright laws, and in order to
ensure fullest protection of the rights of
both authors and Tanzanet Journal, we
request that an author formally assign all
literary rights to Tanzanet Journal.
