TANZANET-KANDORO PRIZE

The TANZANET-Kandoro Prize is awarded annually according to the rules and stipulations established by the TANZANET Organization. The award is presented to a member or non-TANZANET member whose contributions to the advancement of literature in Tanzania and abroad is considered outstanding. Those considered for this award will have done outstanding writings in Kiswahili or English in the area that provoke creative thinking. The TANZANET-Kandoro Committee (a foundation), is designated by the TANZANET members to select a winning candidate each year. A permanent committee of five to seven members is elected by the members to serve for a period of three (3) years. Committee members may be re-elected for a maximum of six years.
